Responsibilities
This position, reporting to the Commodity Team Leader will assist in the process of providing the following support to the Sourcing organization. The needed support includes but is not limited to:
- Program / Project management for all TSP projects/initiatives
- Strategizing TSP’s sourcing footprint in the region through supplier capability matrix and demand analysis (capabilities, capacities, etc)
- Creating balance in terms of geographic footprint with regard to supply base
- Supporting local manufacturing/operations for strategic sourcing
- Strategic spend management
- Supplier management for supply based covering
Qualifications and Experience
§ BE - Electronics
§ Overall experience between 5 to 8 years with direct sourcing experience of 3 years or more in the categories of PCBA’s, cable & wire harness, magnetics, standard/off shelf electronic components & electromechanical/high level assemblies. Additional experience in mechanical categories such as sheet metal fabrication, plastics (injection molding, thermoforming etc.) & machining would be an added advantage.
§ Worked in Engineering (Tyco specific) industry
§ Candidate preferably working with global plants & having global supplier base knowledge with special focus on South East Asia, apart from India.
Communication and Interpersonal – crisp verbal skills for velocity plus effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy and models behaviors to motivate the team.
Execution – persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills
Strategic Thinking – ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
